The Evolution of Kevin Durant with the Warriors

Kevin Durant joined the Warriors last summer to win a championship. He played six seasons with the Supersonics then the Thunder and reached the NBA Finals with Russell Westbrook & James Harden. They lost against LeBron James’ Heat.

Everybody knows what Durant is able to do offensively but with Warriors he shares the ball more than he did in OKC. Kevin Durant scores less than in the past but he is more efficient.

Let’s take a look on his numbers :

Kevin Durant’s efficiency is better in regular season and playoffs. With the Warriors he is not the playmaker, Stephen Curry does it. KD takes more open shots because of Warriors ball movement. He is a perfect add for Steve Kerr’s team.

The All-Star forward only played 8 games of the last 30 due to an injury. Durant steps up in the playoffs when the team needs it. In game 3 against the Jazz, he took over the game at the right time, Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson struggled offensively.

Durant came in the bay area to win a championship and he is playing at his best to get it.
